At our Dessau campus, you can study design as well as architecture, facility management and geoinformation. The Expo Tower offers an exciting exhibition, and you can refresh yourself in the campus café or the Bauhaus bistro.

V—VorOrt

The VorOrt-Haus of the non-profit VorOrt e.V. forms the bridge between campus and urban society. The house offers work spaces for students, offices for start-ups and studios for artists. It has grown into a place where newcomers, Dessau residents and tourists can meet for cultural and creative exchange. In addition, the garden offers a beautiful distraction and is perfect for you to relax.

Restaurants

Near campus you'll find the Campuscafé (delicious cake baked by Angela Pfeiffer) and the Bauhaus Bistro in the World Heritage Site. If you get hungry in between meals, there is also the Döner at the Bauhaus (Gropiusallee). However, if you want to explore the city a bit, Teehäuschen in the Stadtpark, LOU in the former department stores, Castello near the theatre or Mamis are the right addresses. The Kornhaus on the Elbe offers a dreamlike sunset.

K—Kiez e.V. / cc:Kiez

The Kiez e.V. is a non-profit association with a cinema, café / bar and soon a coworking space. It also organises tutoring by students for students, art in public spaces and other activities that are especially aimed at young people.

KH—Kunsthalle Dessau

The Anhaltische Kunstverein Dessau contributes to enriching the city's cultural offerings by providing a platform for young, contemporary art that is yet to be discovered. In June 2022, the student artist collective "weissraum" exhibited in the premises of the Kunstverein.

Park

If you want to really unwind in Dessau, then a park is the perfect place for you. Whether you want to watch swans on a bench in the small Schillerpark or take a walk next to the university in the Georgium and visit the zoo, explore the Luisium or go further out to Wörlitz, there is no right or wrong here. If that makes you feel warm, just jump into the Lake in Kühnau!

If you are interested in culture and musical theatre, concert, play, ballet or puppet theatre, then the Anhalt Theatre is just the place for you!

Bauhaus Museum

Since 2019, you can view the collection of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation here on 2,100 square metres - i.e. around 50,000 catalogued exhibits and the second largest collection on the subject of the Bauhaus worldwide.

S—Schillig

The Schillig is a student-organised meeting place in the center of Dessau, where coworking, exhibitions, discussion groups and much more take place.
